The food was great, however the atmosphere...

The food was great, however the atmosphere and occasion wasn’t as expected after reading reviews and telling the restaurant in advance it was my wife's 50th birthday this wasn’t acknowledged at all and in fact the restaurant was closed when we got there and just opened up even though it was the only time we seemed to be able to book online the restaurant was empty and seemed a little disorganised, so what I though was going to be a bit special was very normal, couldn’t fault the excellent food or the service though so guess my expectations were just a little too high.
