First of all: we booked a table at Elfde Gebod which is a known place at a known location, but we received a confirmation for Elfde Gebod ‘Riverside’ which we mentioned only later. As we booked for a group of musicians having a concert in Carolus, closely Torfbrug, we wanted to make sure to reach in time because the concert was at 20:00. Therefore we’ve been calling at least 20 times to both the land line mentioned on Google Maps and the mobile number mentioned in the reservation system. Finally we were lucky to get a woman on phone confirming Torfbrug and confirming that we could rest assured that we would be able to order before 22:00. So after the concert, the singers rushed to the location but got the message that they were 15 minutes late (21:45, even before that), so kitchen closed.

The staff and food were wonderful. I will be back next time I am in Antwerp. The unusual decor attracted me to the restaurant, however it is much more than that.
