Staff took someone who walked in after me and stood in front of me. The music was limited to the main floor where we weren’t sitting. Upstairs was quite cold. We ordered food that arrived after someone who sat down after us. There were only two selections of red wine by the glass and the one I chose was mediocre and a bit cold. We ordered limpid (mini spring rolls) and they ended up being the frozen ones that were fried (you can just eat these at home for a third of the price). We both ordered the rack of lamb which came with a a lump of soggy vegetable (a cruciferous kind that I can’t eat). The lamb was 45% bone, 45% fat and 10% meat. We felt ripped off and didn’t have the energy to cut through the fat with inadequate knives. (The knives were fine but they didn’t easily cut the meat out). Overall, a terrible experience for a valentines dinner. The only reason we ended up there was that the restaurant we had a reservation with changed ownership a week before and we were not made aware that our booking was voided.
