Bar Riga used to be one of my favorite bistrot's and I still like the cosy atmosphere. When we visited the place recently, we were greeted rather annoyed upon our arrival and it took forever before someone came to our table. Finally, we had to go to the bar to ask for an aperitif. In line with the service, the food quality was poor. The Tagliolini Truffle (EUR 29) bathed in thin, white water; equally scarce as the truffle were the clams and roe of the Malloreddus Vongole & Bottarga (EUR 29) that surprisingly was served with gnocchi. In addition, our stomach was upset the next morning.
We had a lovely authentic feeling when spending our evening at Riga: welcoming personal service, great quality food that i recognised from my many travels in Italy, warm talks with both the maître and the chef, perfect size restaurant (not too big), .. in other words > perfect match for a first date.
Heel lekker gegeten op oudejaarsavond met aangepaste wijnen. Heel vriendelijk personeel en supergezellige sfeer. Supergastvrije Italianen. Voor herhaling vatbaar. Zeker weten! Ook zelfgemaakte limoncello geproefd en fles gekocht. Topadresje in Antwerpen.

Het eten was vers, lekker, van goede kwaliteit. De bediening heeft meerdere verbeterpunten. Na 30min werd onze bestelling van drank en eten pas opgenomen. De limoncello die ons werd aangeboden na het eten, stond tegen onze verwachtingen in ook op de rekening.
