I thought for a long time whether I should write this review. But since I'm also a chef, I would also be happy for the negative reviews and improve from them. The atmosphere was also great. The food wasn't that good. My wife ordered risotto. The rice was more overcooked than creamy. I ordered fish soup. Soup was tasteless. The shrimp still needed some cooking time. I've eaten a lot of delicious Belgian fish soup. After the main meals, I asked twice about the dessert menu. After 20 minutes of waiting, I paid and left. I didn't even get the card in 20 minutes. The live music was great but everything else was rather negative.

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. We also had dinner the previous night - two nights in a row - because we liked the food, the ambiance, and the service so much. Never thought we’d repeat a restaurant during our short stay in Brugge with so many restaurants to choose from. When we came the previous night, we had just arrived in town, had no reservations, and the gentleman who seemed to manage/own the restaurant found a table for us. We were so appreciated. My husband ate kangaroo for first time - excellent as was my beef stew and both of our meals the next night.

Très bien reçus par des personnnes impliquées...

Très bien reçus par des personnnes impliquées et qui cherchent à vous rendre service, dans une ambiance sympa avec de la musique appréciée (blues, rock, jazz...). Nourriture et boissons simple, mais très bonne (carbonnade flammande notamment, et bière Brugse Zot, huummmm), les clients y sont détendus et pas guindés, on a l'impression que tout le monde a le même jeune âge comme des étudiants.

Gezellig tafelen zat er niet in. Er waren slech...

Gezellig tafelen zat er niet in. Er waren slechts twee tafels bezet, wij met vier en achter ons nog een tafeltje met vier. We kregen gauw de boodschap dat het restaurant ging sluiten. Thaise curry was lekker, steak tartaar smaakte niet vers noch lekker. Kangoeroe werd niet mooi gepresenteerd.
